To truly relax and enjoy the house we hire Altskeith Country House out as an exclusive use venue for you to enjoy the freedom as you would in your own home.

With 10 bedrooms, the exclusivity of using the house only for you and your guests and the luxury of a large function room to cater up to 90 guests. We feel we have the benefit to offer any style of stay for any number of guests for any special celebration.


Altskeith Country House is a comfortable and relaxing home to provide the perfect setting for any special occasion.

We offer full catering and bar services for all special events including weddings, engagements, family celebrations, anniversaries, birthdays, parties, christenings or other occasions.

You could spend the afternoon enjoying the spectacular views from an armchair in the living room overlooking Loch Ard and Ben Lomond for afternoon high tea with your nearest and dearest.

You can arrive in style by sea plane, helicopter, or luxury car. Why not take the opportunity to use one of our boats and head out to one of the islands on the Loch for a private picnic for two.

We have preferred entertainment from a DJ, Piper, ceilidh band, string quartet or band.

Altskeith Country House provides the perfect location to take time out from your business to reflect, strategise or plan your future goals or review your business.

With no mobile telephone reception in the area, and full wi fi facilities, projector, conferencing facilities and landline telephone the house provides the perfect location to switch off from day to day distractions and at the same time keep in touch when needed.

With a range of activities in the area you could make a few days to take time out from the office and incorporate team building events and take in the stunning Queen Elizabeth Forest, water sports on Loch Ard or zip wire through the trees in Aberfoyle.

Altskeith Country House is your home throughout your stay. Nestled in the Trossachs National Park with lush forests and starry skies we welcome you to relax and enjoy our tranquil surroundings. With 10 bedrooms, 8 en suite, 2 sharing a bathroom on a private floor of the house we can accommodate up to 22 guests to stay in the house. With additional accommodation also provided close by. We can accommodate a private dining experience for 2 guests -22 guests. For larger groups in our function room we can cater for up to 90 guests.

Living Room : For small groups of up to 10 guests we can accommodate a private candlelit dining experience in our relaxing living room, with a log fire and breathtaking views towards Ben Lomond and overlooking Loch Ard.

Dining Room : For groups up to 22 guests you could choose the dining room, with the coal fire for a formal seated meal.

In warm weather you could enjoy our al fresco eating experience on the paved area, beside our waterfall feature. We are able to provide a range of food experiences including afternoon tea, a relaxed bbq/slow cooking meal, canapes and aperitifs and a variety of courses for a great dining experience.


Our living room, conservatory, dining room and function room are all joined by inter connecting doors.

This allows for complete privacy and also the added benefit to open out to make a large communal area for parties.

The living room and the dining room have the benefit of providing a cosy feel with log and wood fires.


What better way to spend your stay at Altskeith Country House than to sit in the conservatory or living room and enjoy the break taking and ever changing views of the garden.

Our terrace also provides a perfect location to gaze across the gardens.

We are lucky to have one of the most stunning locations in Scotland and with our own beach, views of the mist and mirror reflection Loch Ard and towards Ben Lomond what better way to spend your time enjoying the scenery.
