History

The original part of the house dates back to the early 1700's, with further additions being made in 1850, and the newest part being added in 1897!

There has been a building on this site since the 1600's and it is said that Rob Roy hid from the Red Coats in a secret cupboard under the stairs!

More recently, the house was used in the classic film "The Thirty Nine Steps" starring Kenneth Moore.
